Hermes had unbolted an interactive art installation called “White Canvas” to celebrate the leatherwear label’s new homeware collection. This collection was designed by creative director Florence Lafarge with the collaboration with the Italian artist Gianpaolo Pagni.
Florence Lafarge had allowed the guests to do something which had never happened before, he let the audience to stamp the walls of the wall where they dip the large, block stamps into vivid colored inks and pressed them to the store walls.

However, this installation “White Canvas” is up at the Madison Avenue flagship. This new collection was more focused on furnishing fabrics and wallpapers which was all designed by Illustrator and graphic designer, Gianpaolo Pagni.
“The idea for this exhibition was to showcase the Maison Universe in a fun and creative way,” -explained Lafarge, who is the orchestrator behind the concept. “And the idea of the white canvas is to allow people to come into a space that is empty and ready for creation. It’s to break the distance between the customer and the design; they use the stamp as a tool for language.”
Moreover, Pagni had chosen the paper medium which was inspired by the traditional method of wallpaper. “Pagni’s technique, the concept of repeating patterns, is very adaptable to textiles and wallpapers,” said Lafarge. “The patterns are simple, but when replicated it makes something new and unbelievable.”
Besides, all this the main highlight was the radiant primary colors: red, blue’s and yellow’s which represents the “Spirit of Hermes”.
