Experience the new VR art platform

Acute Art is an all-new take on art transcending the boundaries of tangibility. It is a new platform that lets people experience art through virtual reality. It was founded on the idea of sharing original virtual reality artworks by contemporary artists, experience a number of original artworks through VR headset. Previewed at Stockholm’s Brilliant Minds and officially launched in Autumn 2017, Acute Art has plans to bring in young and emerging artists to the new age of online.

The three interactive works from the iconic contemporary artists, Marina Abramovic, Jeff Koons, Olafur Eliasson had been premiered at this platform to kickstart it. These are artists of eccentric imaginations, each exploring new forms of art.

Videos from Koons, Abramovic, and Eliasson illustrate how each piece of art was created by VR form.

It claims to be the ‘world’s first virtual reality arts platform…a museum without walls that lets you experience the cutting edge of interactive art anywhere in the world.’ said in Artspace magazine.

The two-day event brought together brilliant minds from the creative and technology industry in August 2017. The goal was sharing insights and ideas with each other to amalgamate and create a larger than life experience. This event contributed to making Sweden a creative capital to count on.

The first day of the event launched with a press showcase at Moderna Museet, the event was an impressive mix of art and tech.

Marina Abramovic uses the new virtual means through Acute to explore the real issues of crisis in climate change. This project, dedicated to the change in the environment is titled ‘Rising’.

Eliasson – well-known for his Weather Project installation on the Tate Modern in London continues to explore the concepts of reality in nature. His work ‘Rainbow‘ is his imaginative exploration of the illusions in nature. Lastly, Koons explores issues of transcendence and self-affirmation in ‘Phryne’.

With Acute Art, the artist is being given a new platform to extend their ideas into an extraordinary medium. The collaboration of technology and art makes for an interesting experience that allows art to be ‘hi-tech’.

Isn’t it exciting to experience the new version of Art World rather than standing in front of paintings and observe?
